Re-View Textile is a textile artist network that draws its members from the Liverpool City Region. The group meets regularly to exchange ideas and create opportunities to exhibit. The artists make 2D and 3D work in many sizes using felt, dye, paint, stitch, print, weave, crochet and assemblage, sometimes using found and recycled materials.
The artists exhibiting in this exhibition are Sue Boardman, Catherine Carmyllie, Helen Cooper, Jo Frankel, Viv Netherwood, Rosey Paul,Judith Railton, Ildiko Szabo, Julie James-Turner and Janet Wilkinson.
The artists have explored the importance of story as it weaves through the layers of society. The exhibition shows work developed from traditional tales, cultural motifs and Liverpool’s heritage. There is also work focused on story telling in childhood, the narratives of daily life and the structure of personality.
