Competitions

Embroidery Challenges

Merseyside Embroiderers Guild holds three embroidery competitions during the year. These are-

  • the Colour Competition which is judged in May by the guest Speaker or by public vote. The prize is the Edna Billison Glass Trophy and a monetary gift voucher.
  • the Traditional Embroidery Competition wich is judged by public vote at our MEG Christmas Party. The prize is a monetary gift voucher.
  • Chair’s Challenge, which has a different theme each year, chosen by the current MEG Chair, and it is judged by MEG Chair at the October AGM. The prize is a monetary gift voucher.

Occasionally there are HQ EG Challenges and embroidery competitions, and also opportunities to learn new techniques at home.

You will find details of all these items by clicking on the relevant title on the drop down menu.
